The Role
Overview
Create and manage construction documents for workplace interior projects.

Tasks
-Order samples and create material boards -Participate in the design process as directed -Maintain and archive electronic project files -Maintain and update rack sets and projects records -Provide project administrative back-up (make copies, scanning documents, prepare packages for shipping, etc.) as required -Plot/Prepare drawings for digital transmittance to consultants, clients and/or contractor -Identify code requirements for common architectural systems, life safety, and ADA -Assist other team members while conducting field surveys as required -Provide material, product, and system research and compile project data -Review your own work and make corrections prior completing an assignment -Complete small construction document sets using predetermined client standards and templates -Update design documents and incorporate “red lines” as needed -Assist with selection and specification -Assist in the mapping out construction document requirements -Follow NELSON standards and guidelines in the preparation of deliverables -Prepare Addenda and Bulletin documentation -Assist with the schematic phases as directed (sketching, input of sketches, modification of schematic test fit plans, etc.) -Log Shop Drawings and assist in Shop Drawing comment translation -Assist in the preparation of construction documents and specifications -Assist in the programming phases as directed -Culture of Transformation: Act as a community to accelerate firm impact

What You Bring
-Create basic details ability to document common architectural systems -Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Architectural Drafting, or related field -Basic knowledge about sustainability, LEED guidelines, and WELL Building. Certification preferred. -Ability to organize and prioritize tasks as needed to complete within the identified time frame and/or deadline -Basic knowledge of design, trends, construction methodology, materials application and manufacturer-supplier appropriateness -Basic proficiency in 3D Modeling software such as 3D Studio Max and Viz 2006 preferred -Ability to work more independently on smaller projects and with supervision on larger more complex projects -Basic proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign graphic software preferred -Basic understanding of building regulations, life safety codes and ADA requirements -Strong attention to detail -Highly proficient in both Revit and AutoCAD -Basic knowledge of design techniques, tools, and processes involved in production of Construction Documents, precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models -Knowledge of sustainability, integrated design and LEED guidelines -5+ years of relevant industry experience -Basic understanding of the construction process -Basic knowledge of project budget and schedules and responsibility to adhere to set parameters -Architectural / Technical experience working on Corporate Interiors and Workplace design -Basic proficiency in Deltek Vision / VantagePoint -Basic understanding of project budgets and schedules -Ability to prioritize and effectively meet deadlines and provide high quality service to clients -Familiarity with Photoshop and/or InDesign preferred
