Sr. Test Engineer (Reliability)

Lead reliability testing for VTOL UAVs, creating fixtures, DAQ systems, and analysis.

Tasks

-Help define long-term reliability processes, templates, and infrastructure — with a clear path to grow into a leadership role as the function scales. -Develop and execute reliability, validation, and environmental test plans across aircraft subsystems and components. -Design and build custom test fixtures, jigs, and automation systems for mechanical, thermal, and lifecycle testing. -Build and automate data acquisition systems using LabVIEW or Python. -Conduct vibration, shock, thermal cycling, fatigue, ingress (IP), and stress testing for rugged electro-mechanical systems. -Apply statistical methods (DOE, regression, Weibull, capability analysis) to extract insights and drive design decisions. -Collaborate closely with mechanical, electrical, and software teams to improve test coverage and reliability design.

What You Bring

MUST BE A US CITIZEN OR GREEN CARD HOLDER -Proven hands-on experience designing and building test setups, fixtures, and DAQ systems. -Strong analytical and communication skills — able to operate independently and cross-functionally. -Familiarity with MIL-STD-810, DO-160, or similar aerospace/defense standards preferred. -Experience with environmental testing (thermal, vibration, ingress, fatigue). -5+ years in reliability, mechanical test, or product validation for electro-mechanical systems. -Ability to develop automation scripts in LabVIEW and/or Python (not just operate prebuilt ones). -B.S. in Mechanical, Aerospace, Electrical, or related engineering field.
