Sheet-Metal Lead

Lead and install HVAC sheet metal ductwork, ensuring quality and code compliance.

Tasks

-Read and interpret blueprints, layouts, and SMACNA standards for proper duct installation. -Attend project and team meetings as required. -Identify and resolve potential issues proactively to keep projects on schedule. -Work independently while maintaining communication with the superintendent, builder, and management. -Lead and install sheet metal ductwork systems for HVAC projects, ensuring quality and compliance with plans and specifications. -Collaborate with technicians, installers, project managers, and contractors to meet project goals. -Help coordinate project scheduling and assign appropriate technician and installer support. -Support both new construction and retrofit projects.

What You Bring

-Knowledge of IECC energy codes and practices. -This position requires a valid driver’s license. -Able to bend, crawl, stoop, stretch, and reach. -Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. -Able to work safely at elevated heights such as rooftops, ceilings, and ladders. -Able to work off a ladder, sometimes at heights. -Strong understanding of ductwork systems and layout. -Able to work in a variety of extreme weather, hot and cold conditions. -Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills. -Able to work safely in confined spaces such as attics, basements, closets, and crawl spaces. -Must have reliable transportation. -Excellent attendance and communication skills. -Proven experience in sheet metal installation for HVAC systems. -Encon is a drug free workplace and requires post-offer pre-employment drug testing. -Eligible to work weekends and nights as needed. -Ability to manage multiple priorities with strong attention to detail. -Critical thinking and leadership ability. -Familiarity with SMACNA standards and industry best practices. -Reliable, proactive, and able to work independently or as part of a team. -Able to safely lift 50 pounds. -Able to walk on uneven surfaces.
