Tasks

-Serve as liaison with and between vendors, suppliers, Third-party integrators, client, and xPL manufacturing facility. to document coordination with and between entities and facilitatie scope definitions and clarifications. -Coordinate with xPL Offsite stakeholders to incorporate schedule, manufacturing capacity/capabilities, logistics, delivery, and post-delivery support to confirm completeness of developed estimate. -Develop and maintain relationships with key contacts within vendors, suppliers, and Third-party integrator organizations to gain understanding of core competencies, capacities, and capabilities and to support estimating efforts and functions. -Lead document management for project, including receiving drawings and specifications, provide proper file structure, and distribute information to appropriate stakeholders. -Coordinate with xPL Manufacturing and Procurement teams to obtain best-in-market pricing for materials and commodities; seek “or equal” substitutions that enhance price competitiveness of xPL solutions and products. -Maintain pricing histories and materials/commodities cost databases. -Develop xPL value analysis studies including evaluation of schedule, cost, and labor benefits of xPL solutions. -May supervise xPL team members as assigned. -Prepare detailed estimates for identified xPL solutions and products based on project construction drawings and specifications, working across structural, electrical, and mechanical disciplines, and may focus on a primary specialty. -Apply Design For Manufacturing (DFMA) knowledge to understand project and product specific requirements for xPL manufacturing and facility capacity. -Analyze cost data, unit prices, and commodities, material costing to develop standard information for assessing xPL solution and/or product estimated costs. -Gain full comprehension of factors required for comprehensive xPL solutions scoping including contract documents, logistics, facility capacity, and schedule. -Obtain and evaluate vendor, supplier, and/or Third-party integrator proposals relative to their scopes of work and document and organize information for price leveling and/or comparison. -Prepare comparison analysis to previous estimate(s) and/or stick-built alternatives. -Assist with defining set-up of estimate, estimate schedule, and responsibility matrix. -Prepare scope requisitions for assigned materials, products, and/or Trades; coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to identify and eliminate scope gaps and overlaps. -Develop and communicate bid packages and scope for vendors, suppliers, and Third-party integrators as appropriate. -Prepare detailed estimate including completing quantity take-offs, analysis, estimate input, and studies for items incorporated in identified xPL project scope(s) of work. -Collaborate with xPL team and stakeholders to understand boundaries of proposed scope of work and identified xPL solutions and products.

What You Bring

-Familiar with Design For Manufacturing (DFMA) practices -Familiar with operating procedures and methods of other xPL departments – Design & Engineering, Manufacturing, Procurement, Logistics Operations -Bachelor’s Degree and minimum of 3 years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience -Knowledge of estimating documents and ability to provide accurate qualitative and quantitative analysis of documents -Building construction, materials, systems, market conditions, Trade practices knowledge -Professional verbal and written communication skills -Ability to read, understand and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work and project schedule -Experience and expertise in structural, mechanical and/or electrical disciplines, highly desirable -Conceptual ability, able to work with minimum information and quickly develop understanding of project requirements and develop accurate estimates -Analytic skills to generate comprehensive analysis -Proficient computer skills and Microsoft Office suite of applications, and familiar with estimating software -Ability to manage concurrent demands and meet established deadlines -Ability to collaborate with vendors, suppliers and Third-party integrators to gather information to develop to estimates
