Structural BIM Designer

Overview

Assist in creating and maintaining structural BIM models using Revit.

Tasks

-Be responsible for the Structural model and will generate the BIM elements, based on the Level of Development (LOD) outlined in the Digital Delivery Plan (DDP) and project scope. -Accurately model the BIM elements in the correct special constraints of the modeling environment, utilizing REVIT. -Produce Structural specific documentation with accurate annotations on all modeling output. -Assist BIM Coordinators in creating, updating and revising BIM models throughout the project life cycle. -Assist or execute any additional Digital Delivery requirements identified on the project. -Prepare detailed drawings, layouts, & diagrams of the design within the project scope, schedule, and budget. -Collaborate with Architects and Engineers through Design Reviews and the 3D Coordination process. -Maintain the Structural model including project information, coordinates, scales, orientations, scope boundaries, match-lines, views, and sheets. -Work under the direct supervision of a Structural Engineer.

What You Bring

-Intermediate understanding of engineering or architectural concepts -Competency of Microsoft Office products and communication tools -Experience using REVIT -Familiar with the use of DYNAMO -Proficiency with AutoCAD -Experience in the AEC Industry -Able to meet tight deadlines as an individual contributor or in a team setting. -Experience with 3D Coordination tools -Knowledge of construction and structural system -Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and organizational traits are essential -Technical degree or a minimum of 3 years related industry experience -Technically qualified with 3D design software and document management infrastructure
