Tasks

-The Equipment Technician will carry out a variety of tasks, including maintenance, necessary repairs, and assembly of generator pods to support the preparation of project equipment packages. -Produce accurate and timely reports on dispatched and returned equipment. -Perform routine maintenance, including regular engine servicing in line with manufacturer schedules and conducting load testing. -Prepare and ensure the efficient operation and dispatch quality of rental generators and associated equipment. -The role also includes responsibility for the maintenance and lifecycle management of all related operational equipment. -Coordinate and manage the preparation of all project equipment requirements. -Identify and plan tasks methodically to ensure equipment dispatch targets are met. -Carry out Pre-Delivery Tests and Inspections to the highest standards.

What You Bring

-Experience in maintaining and repairing diesel engines and associated electrical systems. -Proven ability to diagnose faults in diesel engines and associated electrical systems. -Ability to work with and understand standby generators from 20kVA to 200kVA. -High attention to detail with proven ability to fault-find, organise and plan own workload effectively. -Maintains a calm, professional manner with a flexible and adaptable approach to work. -Ability to think through problems logically, both independently and as part of a team. -Relevant qualifications in Mechanical or Electrical disciples are required. -Proven experience working with diesel engines and electrical systems. -Proficient in IT and computer use for managing software, reports and recording-keeping.
