Lead delivery of smart city connectivity projects, managing stakeholders, risk and quality.

Tasks
-Creating and managing documentation of the delivery approach, scope, key deliverables, and dependencies for the project -Track milestones, manage critical paths, and maintain transparent reporting. -Deliver projects to strict deadlines with zero tolerance for overruns. -Serve as the primary liaison between MNOs, Sunderland City Council, and site management teams. -Work closely with deployment partners, technical leads, and the council to ensure seamless integration of all infrastructure. -Create and maintain detailed RAID (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies) logs for all deployments, escalating critical issues promptly. -Conduct final readiness checks and facilitate necessary approvals before go-live. -Coordinate power and fibre provisioning with local authorities and site operators. -Oversee rigorous QA processes, including checks on equipment functionality, power reliability, fibre/backhaul integration, and system readiness. -Proactively manage communications with MNOs, council stakeholders, technology partners, internal teams, and contractors. -Support overall programme management by adhering to deadlines, managing risks, and identifying opportunities for schedule improvements. -Coordinate site access, design and build schedules, logistics, approvals, and efficient decommissioning of smart city deployments. -Ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations, CDM requirements, and RF exposure standards. -Manage contractors and delivery partners across all phases. -Manage all delivery costs to the agreed cost model/budget showing all variances. -Accurately and clearly recording all delivery information within the relevant systems for successful handovers

-Excellent at building and maintaining an excellent working relationship with technology and commercial teams -Ability to inspire others about the vision and priorities of Sunderland Smart City. -Excellent stakeholder management skills, able to engage at all levels and drive shared goals. -Proven Delivery Management experience within telecoms/technology sector Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and structural aspects of connectivity infrastructure -Clearly articulate project status, risks, and resolution strategies to ensure alignment of delivery expectations.
