Overview

Operate and maintain gypsum calcining equipment on 12‑hr shifts.

Tasks

-Grinding and calcining gypsum process -Ensuring that machines are set up properly and performing optimally -Performing periodic preventive and corrective maintenance withing department -Working as a team to help meet or exceed production, waste and quality goals -Work 12 hours shift that includes nights, weekends, holidays and overtime if necessary -Maintain clean work area throughout assigned shifts to ensure an orderly and safe environment -Perform tasks such as lifting, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing and/or pulling for a minimum of twelve (12) hours a day -Contributing to the site’s safety record by ensuring the team works safely -Responsible for product quality test and making adjustments as necessary to keep product in specification -Troubleshooting and making machine adjustments as needed -Maintain strict adherence to safety rules and regulations, including wearing safety equipment

What You Bring

-Lift a minimum of 49 pounds -Experience within an industrial, manufacturing, production, or military environment -Experience troubleshooting equipment and performing preventative and corrective maintenance -Experience operating heavy equipment to include but not limited to, forklifts, front end loaders, and bulldozers -Experience identifying and developing process improvement initiatives -Experience identifying, analyzing, and troubleshooting quality issues -Experience using hand tools in the workplace to include, but not limited to, rakes, shovels, hand saws, wrenches, and screwdrivers
