CRL Stations Operations Specialist Lead (Internal Secondment)

Lead development, testing, and commissioning of new/ upgraded train stations for CRL

Tasks

-Coordinate input into station design, integration, and safety testing across Britomart and new CRL stations -Collaborate with operations teams to mitigate testing disruptions and ensure seamless delivery of timetable changes -Oversee resources, training, and competency development of AOR station staff to support the CRL Delivery team. This includes consulting with union representatives/delegates with the support of the P&C team. -Drive operational testing, planning for special events, degraded modes, and emergency responses -Lead the development and review of key station operational documentation including procedures, emergency plans, and safe work instructions, ensuring regulatory compliance -Support station operational readiness planning, testing, and commissioning activities across major rail infrastructure upgrades -Undertake Tester in Charge responsibilities during testing to manage interface coordination with CRL stakeholders and ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental policies -Liaise with the Customer Experience team to ensure smooth delivery of services at new or redeveloped stations

What You Bring

-Competent in adult training and assessment -Understanding of building and rail safety systems, operational procedures and stakeholder management -Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage direct and cross-functional teams in a complex, dynamic environment -Minimum 3 years' experience in rail operations, with a focus on infrastructure changes and operational readiness planning -Familiarity with tools such as SharePoint, Microsoft Project and general Microsoft Office Suite -Strong written and verbal communication skills
