Tasks

-Efficiently lead on different sized projects and/or more than one crew -Performs strenuous physical work i.e., digging, kneeling, shoveling, lifting, pulling, pushing, climbing -Works and climbs on ladders, lifts, and elevated platforms -Assist and manage people and processes. -Read and interpret electronic schematics, installation drawings and architectural blueprints -Identifies technology parts and components -Complete detailed documents of work performed and provide daily status updates -Identifying scope gaps in construction documents -Terminate indoor and outdoor fiber using the appropriate methods and following industry standards -Reading blueprint drawings -Understand and follow safety guidelines and ensure others are following the appropriate protocols -Installing various cable types including low voltage power, fiber, twisted pair, audio, video and DAS and security. Inside and Outside plant -Visualizing the constructability of an estimate -Provide site supervision of the installation team with direction from the Senior Tech or Project Manager -Wears tools at all required times -Treats tools with respect -Blueprint drawings and how it applies to the project. -Installation of various types of pathways related to running horizontal and backbone cables -Using construction software -Read and interpret detailed specifications and drawings, blueprints, schematics, and method of procedures (MOPs) -Keeps up with changing technology -Estimating the necessary resources needed to complete required tasks. -Assist with basic mechanical fabrication, as necessary. -Installs quality work in a neat and workmanship like manner -Trimming (final installation of electrical devices) -Keeps work area clean -Comes to work on time every day with appropriate attire and tools -Use a variety of connector types and terminate to industry standards

What You Bring

-Pulling (up to 100lbs) -Strong knowledge of troubleshooting cable plant and associated equipment -Testing copper and fiber using industry approved testers. Knowledge of setting up testing units and downloading results as required -Works in all weather conditions -Adapting to new and changing requirements, environments, and/or information -Lifting, floor to chest (up to 50lbs) -Demonstrated knowledge of closet build outs -Effective Listening -Understand scopes of work and can effectively complete the tasks associated -Communicate, educate, and delegate effectively -Lifting, floor to waist (up to 50lbs) -Pushing (up to 100lbs) -The ability to perform close-out documentation procedures as well as daily/weekly company documentation requirements -Ability to train and mentor junior technicians on installations standards and methods, as well as company related requirements -Acts as a professional and uses basic work ethics -Constructability and the construction process -Positive Customer Interactions -Effective written and oral communication sufficient to be able to elicit and communicate information and achieve understanding. -MS Office Software and other misc. computer programs -Crew Safety training and PPE assignment required to meet or exceed customer, industry, GC, and local jurisdiction requirements -Basic network principles -Understand common industry tools including applicable testing equipment and how to use them -Ability to procure materials collaboratively through Operations/Project Management for project related needs -Speaking intelligently -Work independently or as part of a team -Vision acuity (near, far and without color deficiencies) -Lifting, waist to overhead (up to 30lbs each arm) -Carrying (up to 50lbs) -Spatial orientation
