  • Manage financial aspects of contracts to protect the company's interest and simultaneously maintain good relationship with the client.
  • Maintain liaison with prime client and A/E to facilitate construction activities.
  • Maintain thorough project details list that describes the project "trail."
  • Represent the company in project meetings.
  • Supervise the preparation of any and all pricing quotations for presentation to the prime customer.
  • Lead the pre-construction process for large and complex electrical projects, including conceptual budgeting, design-assist, and design-build efforts
  • Conduct project risk analysis, identify scope gaps, and develop mitigation strategies.

  • Effective oral and written communication skills as required for the position
  • Ability to interact effectively and professionally with all levels of employees, both management and staff alike, vendors, clients, and others
  • Ability to be self-motivated, proactive and an effective team player
  • Strong understanding of electrical distribution systems
  • Understand objectives, policies, procedures and performance standards within boundaries of corporate policies.
  • Proficient with Estimating software (Accubid, Trimble or similar), Bluebeam, AutoCAD/Revit and MS Office Suite
  • Understand company's philosophy and systems.
  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, Electrical Engineering or other related discipline
  • Must possess excellent communication skills with owners, architects, and design consultants
  • Up to 10-25%
  • Thorough understanding of various types of design projects and concepts including: design build, design assist, IPD, Lean and LEED
  • General work environment - sitting for long periods, standing, walking, typing, carrying, pushing, bending. Work is conducted primarily indoors with varying environmental conditions such as fluorescent lighting and air conditioning
  • Minimum 5 year's experience in construction industry; electrical construction with at least 3 years in estimating, engineering or pre-construction leadership
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks, changing priorities as necessary
  • Ability to work under time pressure and adapt to changing requirements with a positive attitude
  • Occasional lifting of up to 30 lbs.
