The Role
Overview
Prepare and modify wood doors, weld metal parts, and operate power tools in manufacturing.

Tasks
-Select and set up welding equipment -Utilizing measuring tools to mark and prepare the material -Operate welding machine that feeds wire to bond materials -Remove any rough edges created during the modification process -Use electrical currents to create heat and bond metals -Plan work by interpreting shop orders -Join beams in the construction of metal frame pieces -Package finished product for transport -Use a rod and heat to join metals -Ensure welds meat standards and specifications -Use molten metal to join two pieces of metal -Assist Shop Manager as required -Interpret scope of work from documents detailing tasks to be completed -Wear appropriate safety equipment at all times -Using saws, drills, and other power tools to create the necessary finished product

What You Bring
-At least 1 year prior experience in a fast paced production/manufacturing environment preferred -Ability to report to work on time -General knowledge of warehouse manufacturing -Must have reliable transportation to and from work -Work in a fast-paced environment, completing multiple duties with accuracy, shifting from one to another with frequent interruptions and competing deadlines -Current and valid US driver’s license preferred -Knowledge of proper safety practices when handling products, tools and power equipment -Ability to read and interpret basic mathematical measurements and effectively read and use a tape measure -Must pass pre-employment background check or drug test. -Must be able to work as a team and at times independently -Must be able to follow directions -Must have basic hand and power tools including: hammer, screwdrivers, pliers, wrenches, and cordless drills -Must be able to work overtime as needed -Exercise sound judgment, work independently and prioritize with minimal supervision -High School Diploma, or an equivalent combination of education/experience
