The Role

Overview

Maintain and repair facilities, systems, and equipment at Daikin Applied.

Tasks

-Maintain boiler(s) where applicable -Maintain the facility’s water softener system -Handle moderately complex issues and problems and refer more complex issues to higher-level staff -Provide leadership, coaching, and/or mentoring to a subordinate group -Comply with Company safety procedures at all times -Respond to and troubleshoot maintenance requests involving electrical, structural, plumbing and equipment repair or replacement -Set up tables and chairs as well as conference room setups -Support laboratory testing activities in accordance with standard procedures, test requirements, and the ISO 17025 standard. -Maintain kitchen equipment such as ice makers, dishwashers, coolers, etc -Make repairs and coordinate the work of specialists when more complex repairs are needed -Implement corrective and preventative actions to reduce costs and improve reliability -Maintain effective communications across all departments -Perform all scheduled maintenance as established in x5 (Daikin’s CMMS (Computer Maintenance Management System)), and provides input into new maintenance schedules as equipment/facilities are added or changed -Respond to emergencies and support after-hours facility needs and activities as required -Move and set up workstations/offices -Utilize x5 for work order and PM (Preventative Maintenance) management. -Assist in activities related to internal and external environmental audits -Handle complex issues and problems and refer only the most complex issues to higher-level staff -Inspect and perform preventative maintenance or as-needed repairs on facilities or systems, which may include mechanical or electrical systems, HVAC or other environmental management systems, generators or power management systems, or fire/safety systems -Ensure standards, policies, procedures, and maintenance of a clean work area are upheld at all times -Maintain building and grounds as needed -Ensure work is performed in a timely manner, and triage requests to prioritize the most critical repairs -Maintain a working knowledge of EH&S safety policies and regulations to ensure duties of self and others are performed in a safe manner -Obtain refrigerant handling certifications in a timely manner -Monitor and operate the Daikin Building Management System (BMS). -Analyze, troubleshoot, and repair test rooms, test cells and facilities -Ensure facilities comply with all environmental policies and procedures -Submit purchase order requisitions for parts -Schedule maintenance or repairs to minimize disruptions to organizational operations wherever possible -Direct and work alongside contractors, as needed

What You Bring

-Must be able to obtain and maintain a Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) certification -4+ years experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience -Demonstrate excellent customer service skills -Work visa sponsorship is not available for this position -The ability to make an impact and shape your career with a company that is passionate about growth -Possess solid working knowledge of subject matter -Obtain powered industrial truck certified training within a year -Two-year Associate degree in maintenance-related subject matter
