Tasks

-Routinely operate jackhammers & rotary drills -Installation of mains and services. -Repairs gas leaks -Using a shovel to hand excavate -Operate a Kubota and Backhoe -Responsible for completing all associated paperwork for the above described -Work in all types of weather conditions -Performs construction and maintenance on Elizabethtown Gas Company distribution systems

What You Bring

-Locating and mark-outs -Required to work Stand-By (24-hour on-call) -High School diploma; -Experience in construction work -Ability to lift 100 lbs. -First response to potential leaks and other gas-related emergencies -Required to drive company vehicles for short lengths of time throughout the day -Requires bending, kneeling, and operating tools in confined space conditions -May have to work for up to 16 hours straight during emergency conditions -Hours/day of standing or operating in confined spaces (trench) -Valid NJ Driver's License -Or equivalent academic education and experience may be considered. -Required to wear a full-face respirator -Familiar with the use of air tools and construction equipment
