The Role

Tasks

Reporting directly to OSS Technical, Design and Construction Director, you’ll oversee 2–3 direct reports and lead the internal teams who manage subcontractors. This is a hands-on leadership role, involving regular site visits, progress checks, health & safety updates, and programme management to keep projects running smoothly. You’ll take ownership of our OSS Installation team and sub-contract labour to deliver high-quality timber frame construction projects nationwide. Working closely with our housebuilder clients and internal teams, you’ll ensure that every site is delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards. -Lead and manage the OSS installation and subcontract teams to safely deliver timber frame build programmes on time, on budget, and to specification. -Oversee health & safety standards and ensure compliance across all sites. -Support your team’s development through coaching, training, and clear communication. -Provide experienced guidance to sales, estimating, and design teams. -Maintain strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders. -Support pre-construction and delivery planning to optimise build quality and efficiency. -Drive performance improvements through KPI management and reporting.

What You Bring

Work Pattern: Approx. 50% working from home, 50% travel to customer and construction sites Location: Home-based (with regular travel to sites across the UK) We’re looking for a leader who combines deep technical knowledge with great people skills. You’ll need to be confident managing multiple projects and teams while keeping a customer-first mindset. -Proven experience in timber frame construction (preferably large-scale / housebuilder sites) -Strong understanding of on-site installation processes and health & safety practices -Ability to work independently and travel regularly across the UK. -Background managing teams or subcontractors in construction. -Excellent organisational, leadership, and communication skills
