Senior Estimator

Overview

Prepare accurate estimates for complex structural steel fabrication projects.

Key Responsibilities

• vendor coordination

Tasks

-Prepare a complete estimated price with a comprehensive description of all included and excluded items. -Research construction documents and analyze specifications. -Responsible for bid administration in preparing full estimates on complex work. -Obtain review and approval of estimates prior to submitting and route the estimates to the applicable parties once the bid has been submitted. -Communicate with customer, vendors, erectors, engineers, architects and salesmen to ensure the design intent is understood and bid requirements are followed. -Perform time studies, change order estimates, and assists in sub-out fabrication as needed. -Perform take-off of all steel and buyout items and enter into Fabtrol as required and/or obtain quotes on items that are bought out.
