Tasks

-Review permits and plans to facilitate compliance with environmental regulations. -Preparing air permit applications and air emission inventories, conducting ambient air sampling, and supporting other air quality compliance projects. -Developing and maintaining positive relationships with clients to enhance client retention and growth. -Supporting regulatory compliance tasks relating to air quality. -Maintain current knowledge of specific government agency requirements. -Undertake technical work in accordance with the contracted scope of work, budget, and schedule. -Collaborate with other AECOM offices, practices, and business lines. -Research, review, and analysis of air quality policy and regulations. -Independently determine and develop approaches to solutions. -Proactively encourage a culture of producing high-quality work and the importance of Health & Safety within the team. -Provide regulatory interpretation and technical advice. -Proactively identify opportunities to increase project efficiencies, improve technical methodologies and add value to client service offerings. -Collect and evaluate project data in both field and office settings.

What You Bring

-Experience in Title V/PSD permitting and regulatory applicability analyses. -Master’s degree in chemical, mechanical, or civil/environmental engineering. -Due to the nature of the work, US Citizenship is required. -Ability to prioritize multiple demands, think strategically and successfully lead multiple simultaneous projects. -Practicing knowledge of current generation air quality models: including AERMOD, HARP, and/or CalEEMod. -Ability to independently manage various environmental compliance projects and programs ranging in size and scale. -with a background in air quality and Bay Area Air District permitting and compliance. -Bachelor’s degree in relevant science or engineering discipline. -Experience working with agency members at California air districts, such as SJVAPCD, MDAQMD, SDAPCD, SCAQMD and/or CARB -Understanding of local, state, and federal air quality rules and regulations including district regulatory programs, MACT/BACT/LAER requirements, New Source Review (NSR), the federal Clean Air Act, and greenhouse gas regulations. -4 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education with air quality experience in the Bay Area Air District. -6+ years of relevant experience in air quality consulting. -Valid US Driver's License and pre-employment driving record verification is required. -Certification by a California Air District as a permitting professional. -Highly effective verbal and written communication skills; proficient in technical writing; highly effective organization and multi-tasking skills.
