Tasks
-Make informed decisions regarding production quality and safety, providing data for top management to base critical corporate decisions. -Maintain an expert knowledge of contractor processes that impact DDS-SOC, SUBSAFE, and Level 1 directives. -Act as the senior QA team member for assigned projects. -Ensure certification reviews are conducted only by qualified personnel, as required. -Electrical, Electronic, Ordnance systems for specification and engineering drawing requirement compliance. -Foster a "first-time quality" culture in all production aspects to ensure the highest-quality final product. -Oversee and execute a comprehensive Certification program, including final certification procedures. -Maintain objectivity when performing quality assurance tasks related to shipboard repairs or installations. -Enhance safety through training, raising employee awareness, enforcing safety policies, and holding individuals accountable for poor safety practices. -Certify all relevant Objective Quality Evidence (OQE) for assigned projects. -Lead internal audits and surveillances of OII-MSD processes and production work to ensure consistency in reporting. -Stay informed about the status of all Condition Reports, Unrestricted Operations/Hull Integrity Procedures, LARs, and DFSs related to assigned projects. -Participate in Internal SUBSAFE Certification Audits and DSS-SOC Certification Surveys as directed. -Act as senior QA project team member when assigned to projects. -Provide input to the central Quality database to assist in analyzing collected quality data. -Serve as the primary Quality Assurance contact during the certification of Technical Work Documents (TWD). -Certification of Compliance Drafting.

What You Bring
-Graduate of high school, trade or industrial school, or GED equivalent. -Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. -Minimum seven (7) years’ experience in performing quality assurance and control inspection on Naval Ship Hull, Mechanical, -Electrical, Electronic, Ordinance Systems for specification and engineering drawing requirement compliance. This includes specialized experience in inspecting work on SUBSAFE and Level I systems/components as required by the organizational certification by Commander Naval Sea Systems Command. -Five (5) years’ experience as a SUBSAFE QA inspector. -Minimum seven (7) years’ shop experience that has provided practical knowledge of quality assurance programs, quality inspection -In depth working knowledge of Submarine Safety (SUBSAFE), Deep Submergence Systems (DSS), NAVSEA Standard Items and NSWCPD process and procedural requirements. -Extensive military training and experience in mechanical, electrical, and/or ordinance systems and quality assurance/control requirements. -Understand of project REC progression. -Demonstrate a thorough understanding of current NAVSEA, DDS-SOC, SUBSAFE, and Level 1 requirements. -Experience at Naval and/or Commercial Shipyards with extensive Apprenticeship Program. -Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Systems Engineering. -Must be a U.S. citizen who is not a dual citizen of any other country. -Five (5) years’ experience in submarine, deep submergence, and surface ship systems repair, QA administration, or technical knowledge and at-sea operational experience with submarine and/or surface combat weapons systems, launcher systems or other similar Naval or military system including an in-depth working knowledge of U.S. Navy Joint Fleet Maintenance Manual and associated documentation. -Proper record retention. -systems, and machining skills and a detailed knowledge of shop procedures, processes, methods and techniques. -MOA Comprehension. -Minimum five (5) years’ experience in performing quality assurance and control inspection on naval ship Hull, Mechanical,
