The Role

Operative delivering construction services, crane/forklift operation and safety duties at Grangemouth.

Tasks

-Deliver a high quality, consistent and competent Operative construction service in accordance with project / company requirements, standards and procedures. -Assist with holiday cover on Silo off loading -Attend meetings as and when required -Responsible for ensuring professional development is maintained and identified competency requirements are undertaken in a timely manner -Operate overhead crane, as required, in a safe manner -Monitor and record HAVS on departments tools -Communicate daily with site management and keep them fully informed of all issues -Attend and participate positively in toolbox talks -Set up equipment for trade use -Maintain the departments air fed hoods to correct standards -Carry out Firewatch / Standby duties -Drive forklift truck / MEWP, as required, in a safe manner -Operate the site Automate -Undertake general driving duties around site -Provide timely feedback to supervisor of ongoing status or completion of the task -Provide general cleaning as per work requirements -Undertake appropriate Risk Assessments (RA) in order to complete work scope in a safe and controlled manner -Read, understand and implement all applicable company / project policies, working practices and procedures, ensuring at all times that the scope is completed in accordance with company procedures, and to the highest standard of safety -Provide support to other trades/disciplines where required, or form part of an integrated multi-discipline team -Attend and participate positively in training sessions and safety sessions -Undertake basic slinging activities

What You Bring

The Grade 3 Operative is required to deliver a high quality, consistent and competent Operative construction service including assistance for all trades in accordance with Project / Company requirements, standards and procedures. To support overall delivery of company goals and schedule and to ensure that the entire work scope is completed in a safe manner ensuring no detrimental impact to personnel, fabric or environment. This role is required to support an upcoming TAR on a full-time, short-term (3-6 months) basis at our clients site in Grangemouth. Candidates must have their site safety passport. -Educated to National 5 level or equivalent -Adherence to the company integrated management system -Valid Driving License -Demonstrable experience in maintaining air feed hoods -Compliance with quality assurance, health and safety and environmental policies -Valid FLT License -HAVS training -Reasonable written and spoken English -CCNSG Safety Passport -Silo safety training
