Tasks

-Being able to review all outputs of junior estimators and provide guidance to them on projects. -Being able to support and lead on estimates from feasibility through to detailed design. -Support the wider business in estimating bids and technical development. -Support your chartership aspirations with RICS, ICE, AACE, ACostE or similar. -Producing high-level order of magnitude costs and be capable of producing first principal estimates at the later stages. -Being able to benchmark outputs against other market data to provide further evidence to the client. -Independently write a basis-of-estimate report to be reviewed by a director within the team prior to submission.

What You Bring

-An advanced understanding of the typical methods of measurements used in the UK and the ability to complete a full take-off independently. This includes proficiency in an estimating software. -We value experiences across all sectors and backgrounds however the applicant should understand the role of a consultancy on projects and the purpose of budgetary estimate. -Strong stakeholder engagement including being able to work with engineers, clients and authority to complete an estimate. -A comprehensive knowledge of indirect costs and other fees to complete an estimate. -Be adaptable to work across multiple sectors and disciplines and have the drive to want to learn new skills.
