Tasks

-Completing necessary logs and reports from the enforcement equipment -Enforce parking lots and street by following the city ordinance. -Enforce parking ordinances by issuing parking citations to ensure adequate traffic flow and maximize available on-street parking spaces. -Operates hand-held computer to identify scofflaws and boot-eligible vehicles and impounds vehicles from public right-of-way after determining vehicles are in parking ban, are junked, abandoned, or have not moved in more than 24 hours. -Provides on-going training and development for new and existing officers to ensure enforcement and performance standards are met. -Perform related duties as required by management to meet the needs of the city, including but not limited to, vehicle maintenance, work on weekends for snow and ice enforcement. -Responsible for parking enforcement and issuing tickets for parking violations on all City streets, alleys, ramps, lots, public setbacks and terraces, City parks and (upon complaint) on private property by patrolling assigned area on foot and in motor vehicle. -Perform customer courtesy functions. -Communicates city parking ordinances and enforcement policies and procedures to the public to encourage compliance. -Providing consistent enforcement of parking ordinances -Patrols city parking districts to issue citations to parking violators. -Reports signs for replacement and addition from an enforcement standpoint. -Perform enforcement on snow and ice days.

What You Bring

-Maintains a valid driver’s license and is capable of driving as part of daily work assignment and driving in all weather conditions. -You must be able to communicate verbally In English and demonstrate the ability to -High School education or equivalent -Must be computer literate to enter data into handheld device -Read and write in English. -Two (2) years of customer service experience. -This position does require driving enforcement vehicles and walking per day in all weather conditions. You must demonstrate a high tolerance level and extreme patience. -Solid employment record -Valid driver’s license and good driving record. -Basic arithmetic skills
