Tasks
Identify opportunities for process improvement and actively contribute to project planning and scheduling. Support job costing efforts and verify subcontractor billings and progress reports. Support and coordinate all phases of construction projects from concept through completion alongside the Mechanical PM. As a Mechanical Project Engineer, you will be an integral part of the construction management team-supporting, coordinating, and tracking all phases of complex design-build projects. You will be responsible for ensuring work is performed safely, efficiently, and in alignment with project objectives, cost parameters, and quality standards. Track and manage project costs, change orders, and billing to ensure financial alignment. Assist with submittals, RFIs, takeoffs, and as-built documentation. Review and interpret construction drawings, FRP, and subcontractor scopes of work. Collaborate closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, QC, and Safety personnel. What You Bring
Strong understanding of construction trade practices, especially mechanical systems (HVAC, piping, or plumbing). 5+ years of experience in construction project engineering or related roles, preferably in mechanical trades. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred. Equivalent experience will be considered. Communicate effectively across all levels of the project team, including clients, subcontractors, and field staff. -Strong understanding of construction trade practices, especially mechanical systems (HVAC, piping, or plumbing). -Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred. Equivalent experience will be considered. -Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams); familiarity with BIM, Procore, or similar project management software preferred. -Communicate effectively across all levels of the project team, including clients, subcontractors, and field staff. -5+ years of experience in construction project engineering or related roles, preferably in mechanical trades.
