Tasks

-Create regular project control reports—weekly, monthly, or quarterly—covering cost, progress, risk, and quality metrics -Develop and manage cost and schedule breakdowns (WBS), track key performance indicators, and analyze project data such as labor hours and earned value to assess productivity and risk -Produce detailed cost reports that include budget tracking, forecasting, and variance analysis between planned and actual expenditures -Generate progress and status reports to support project management oversight -Design custom templates for cost reporting as needed -Build and evaluate comprehensive project schedules, including baseline and progress timelines, specialized schedules, and performance reporting -Maintain and update project control systems and document management processes, ensuring compliance with established procedures -Responsible for updating and maintaining the project controls and document controls systems to ensure documents are filed appropriately and work processes are used according to project procedures -Prepare materials for internal and external meetings, including analysis and documentation to support project updates and decision-making -Monitor project progress, identify cost discrepancies, and recommend corrective actions or recovery strategies

What You Bring

-Solid understanding of cost engineering, progress tracking, and project control methodologies, particularly within the Life Sciences industry -Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field—or equivalent professional experience -Minimum of 7 years of experience in project controls or a closely related discipline -Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams, clients, and vendors at various organizational levels -Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially advanced Excel skills for building and maintaining interactive spreadsheets and databases -PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus -Familiarity with financial and accounting systems used in project environments -Capable of working independently as well as collaboratively within a project controls team -Proven ability to manage multiple priorities effectively and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
