Tasks
-Lead Mortenson’s quality system on medium to large projects -Oversee third party design and testing agencies -Manage Quality Events, punch list, and Non-Conformance Notices -Coach and mentor Field and Project Engineers -Train others on Kaizen event roles and visual management -Establish and lead quality control initiatives and corrective actions -Build relationships with diverse backgrounds and organizational levels -Review project plans for quality requirements before construction -Develop and implement Quality Management Plan from start to finish

-Knowledge of Equal Employment Opportunity, inclusive behaviors, and Affirmative Action plans and their intended use -Ability to interpret and communicate Mortenson policies -Minimum three years' experience in the design, engineering, or construction industry with experience leading a project’s quality system -Knowledge of one or more quality systems: i.e., Malcolm Baldridge, ISO 9000, Lean, Kaizen, Army Corps of Engineers, Mortenson’s Quality System, continuous improvement, value streams, etc -Experience with issue management, and inspection of work put in place -Our postings are typically open a minimum of 5 days and an average of 44 days. -Basic understanding of construction law and generally accepted business practices -Visa sponsorship is not offered for this position. -Current driver’s license -Proven positive and professional attitude, and strong customer service skills -Ability to travel up to 75% -Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Civil, or Architectural Engineering or Construction Management, or equivalent field -Strong attention to detail to organize and manage multiple project tasks -Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Primavera Unifier -Must be currently legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status, 0-1, TN, CPT, OPT, etc.). We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time. -Completed training in basic project management and supervision -Active listening skills and effective communication including an openness to diverse input and feedback
