Mentoring, training and/or supervision of intermediate or junior engineers.

Attending inhouse and formal training sessions to ensure continuing professional development.
Coordinating and attending field work or field investigations where required.

Experience in other related water conveyance or agriculture/agrifood projects is considered an asset.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 8 years of experience working on water resources or conveyance projects, with a strong emphasis on irrigation planning and design.
Excellent communication, written, and presentation skills.
Experience with design software and tools such as AutoCAD Civil3D is an asset.
Collaborative in nature, with the ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
Understanding of soil water relationships
Understanding of all phases of project implementation, and strong understanding of engineering design processes.
Travelling occasionally within Alberta and western Canada.
Experienced with hydraulic analysis/modeling.
Selfmotivated and resultsoriented with the ability to motivate and lead others.
Experience with hydraulic/hydrologic modeling software (MikeUrban, PCSWMM, StormCAD, WaterCAD, XPSWMM, etc.) is an asset.
Registered as a P.Eng with APEGA in the Province of Alberta and/or with APEGS in the Province of Saskatchewan. Typical office environment working with computers and working at a desk for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements, including inclement weather. A bachelor’s degree in Civil or Agricultural Engineering or equivalent is required.
