The Role

Overview

Experienced bridge/structural engineer managing projects, design, and client interaction.

Tasks

-Perform inspection/field work. -Prepare plans, specifications, cost estimates, and reports. -Take responsibility for the quality control/assurance of project deliverables. -Lead technical and project discussions with the design team. -Perform project management tasks, such as monitoring budgets and schedules, interacting with clients, and leading junior engineers. -Traveling to project sites or client meetings, which may involve driving or flying. -Occasionally visiting project locations and performing field inspections which may involve walking, standing, kneeling, or navigating uneven terrain. -Perform structural design, analysis, and prepare design sketches. Instruct draftspersons on design drawings. -Occasionally may be required to lift objects weighing up to 15 lbs.

What You Bring

-7-12 years of experience -BSCE with emphasis in Structural Engineering -Ability to work with, mentor, and lead junior engineers -Proficiency with the following, or similar, software: CSI Software Suite (SAP, CSI Bridge), PG Super -Experience monitoring budgets and schedules, interacting with clients, and leading junior engineers. -Strong communicator and collaborator -Experience in the design and construction of reinforced concrete and structural steel structures. -MSCE or MSE with emphasis in Structural Engineering -Professional Engineer (PE) License -Strong technical and organizational abilities -Duties are primarily conducted in a standard office setting, requiring prolonged periods of sitting at a desk or computer table. -Structural Engineer (SE) License
