Overview

Lead P&C design for renewable substation projects (4kV‑EHV)

Tasks

-Review P&C deliverables completed by others -Assist with development of major equipment specifications -Station battery / charger DC load calculations and sizing -Control enclosure layout and BOM -Review equipment vendor submittals for conformance with specs and project requirements -Assist Project Engineer with procurement and construction support task -Attend internal and external project meetings as needed -Equipment and Relay Panel Wiring diagrams -Cross discipline checks with other substation / service leads -Incorporating those relays in the design to achieve desired protection

What You Bring

-Previous experience in a consultancy environment -HV and MV Circuit Breakers -4+ years work experience in high voltage substation P&C design -Station service AC load calculations and transformer sizing -General knowledge of substation construction practices -AC/DC schematics -General knowledge of the industry and technology trends specific to substations -LV AC Systems (Station Service) -Strong knowledge of substation zones of protection -Previous experience with large scale renewable energy projects -EIT Certification -General knowledge of SCADA and communications systems -Strong written and verbal communications skills -Professional engineering license or ability to obtain one within 2 years of hire. -General knowledge of relay settings / protection device coordination -Communication schematics and connection details -Requires a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from a recognized accredited program -Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from a recognized accredited program -LV DC Systems (Station Batteries / Chargers) -Relay panel elevation and BOM -Familiarity with Substation major equipment and the specifications, schematics, and wiring thereof: -CT Saturation studies -ANSI, IEEE, NEC, NESC, NERC, etc. -Familiarity with industry standards and codes
