Tasks

-Responsible for the various ledgers including cash disbursements, cash receipts, accounts payable, month-end payroll summary, accounts receivable summary, and journal entries to adjust the general ledger. -Provides relevant financial information to the executive management team. -Conducts periodic audits of budget items, including comparing per diems to actual expenses and other budget-to-actual comparisons. -Comply with local, state, and federal government requirements. -Prepares corporate financial statements in a timely fashion. -Oversee and takes responsibility for all financial procedures and records. -Maintains corporate checking accounts and invoices. -Assists external auditors and provides required statements and information for the annual audit. -Creates and maintains a series of financial controls and procedures for the accounting department. -Generates monthly reports including accounts payable reconciliation, accounts receivable reconciliation, cash flow report, and balance sheet audits.

What You Bring

Education & Experience – At least three years of related experience required. Bachelor’s degree in accounting, or related field, preferred. -Ability to maintain confidential and meticulous records. -Must be reliable and extremely trustworthy. -Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, and accounting software. -Knowledge of general financial accounting and cost accounting. -Must be able to learn other accounting systems. -Must be able to lift 50 pounds at times. -Excellent written and verbal communication skills. -Ability to correctly prepare tax reports. -Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. -Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
