Tasks
-Technical Support: Prepare engineering-related calculations and specifications. Perform drainage system design and calculations including stormwater management systems and storm sewer sizing. Perform water distribution and sanitary sewer collection system design and calculations. -CAD Drafting: Work with CAD staff to modify and update design drawings using AutoCAD or other relevant design software. Aid in developing civil engineering plans, including sports field layouts, stormwater management systems, transportation access, and utility layouts. -Regulatory Research: Assist in researching local, state, and federal codes and regulations relevant to the project, including the different levels of athletic facilities. -Construction Administration Support: Provide review of submittals and answer Contractor’s RFIs. Perform periodic site observations during construction and prepare site observation reports. Assist in certifications and project close-out. -Sustainability Focus: Participate in projects aimed at creating environmentally responsible and energy-efficient facilities. -Assist in Design: Collaborate with the civil and architectural teams in designing site plans, utilities, drainage, and grading solutions. -Collaboration: Work alongside other engineers, architects, landscape architects, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure alignment between civil engineering designs and architectural goals, specifically tailored to sports and educational environments. -Project Support: Provide general support to the engineering team, including assisting with cost estimates, timelines, and coordination of project tasks -Site Evaluation: Conduct site visits and help prepare reports, documenting site conditions and potential challenges related to athletic, educational, and other site development facilities. -Documentation and Reports: Prepare technical documentation, reports, and presentation materials for review by senior engineers and project managers.

What You Bring
-Highly proficient with design software such as StormWise, StormCAD, WaterCAD, or other industry-related software. -Ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. -Highly proficient with MS Office suite. -Highly proficient with AutoCAD drafting skills, with a working knowledge of Civil 3D. -Applicants for this position are expected to have 2-5 years of experience since graduation working in the A/E/C industry. Previous full-time experience related to land/site development design in Florida is a plus but not required. -Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related field, from an ABET accredited university required. -Excellent interpersonal skills with coworkers, owners, and public agency officials. -Engineering Intern (EI) License required. Passed Florida PE Exam preferred, with the expectation of obtaining a Florida Professional Engineering license once qualified. -Familiarity of land development codes, environmental regulations, and construction processes. -Excellent communications skills, both oral and written.
