Tasks

-Documentation: Preparing detailed daily inspection reports, documenting work progress, site conditions, labor, and equipment usage. -Safety Compliance: Observing and reporting on-site health and safety practices to ensure a secure working environment. -Site Inspection: Conducting regular site inspections of municipal and land development projects. -Quality Assurance: Monitoring construction activities to ensure compliance with contract documents, engineering drawings, and quality standards. -Contribute to Dillon’s corporate profile through active participation in professional associations and committees. -Coordination: Liaising with contractors, project managers, and municipal representatives to address site issues and report on progress.

What You Bring

-Knowledge of municipal servicing standards and environmental approvals requirements. -Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective reporting and on-site coordination. -Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify and address construction issues promptly. -The ability to anticipate, examine, and adopt new and innovative solutions is a crucial driver for the continual and progressive advancement of our business performance. In our culture, people are empowered to reflect and question current practices and seek forward looking solutions to today’s problems and tomorrow’s opportunities. -Proficiency in Microsoft Office products. -Working knowledge of relevant municipal/provincial standards and regulatory requirements. -Knowledge of contract administration services and requirements. -Ability to operate survey rod and level is an asset. -Valid Canadian drivers’ license. -Able to keep organized notes related to daily site activities, contractor equipment used, quantities and document with photos. -A variety of EFAP tools and online resources to support well-being are available to all employees. -1 to 2 years of relevant experience in construction inspection, preferably on municipal infrastructure or land development projects. -Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and contract specifications.
