Associate Counsel

Tasks

-Advise internal clients on a range of legal and business matters. -Draft and prepare pleadings, motions, discovery, and other litigation documents. -Provide legal advice that considers both legal implications and business needs of the client. -Oversee and collaborate with outside counsel. -Create, analyze, and modify operating documents for legal entities, including corporations, LLCs, and partnerships. -Attend court hearings, depositions, and manage all aspects of client representation both inside and outside the courtroom. -Conduct legal research, analysis, and writing. -Negotiate, review, revise, and draft various types of contracts.

What You Bring

-Effective time management with the ability to establish priorities. -High-level computer skills, with experience in electronic document management systems a plus. -Excellent organizational skills and a strong work ethic. -Active member of the State Bar of Ohio. -Employment Law (ADA, FMLA, Title V11, etc.) -Ability to work quickly, efficiently, and accurately under pressure. -Excellent verbal and written communication skills. -Skilled in legal research software (Lexis, Casemaker, etc.). -Strong initiative and problem-solving abilities. -Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Outlook. -Capable of managing a diverse workload and adapting to shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment. -Strong ability to compose both business and legal correspondence.
