Develop an understanding of current airport design standards and procedures
Manage your own work activities and contribute to project team responsibilities, providing regular status updates
Assist with project estimation and budgeting
Prepare construction documents, including plans and specifications
Draft and design project plan sheets
Perform detailed design of airport infrastructure projects, including runways, taxiways, aprons, buildings, and utilities
Plan, design, and manage construction projects
Support Professional Engineers and Project Managers with project scoping, task hour budgets, schedules, fee proposals, and federal/state grant applications and management

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, etc.) and CAD design software
Handle moderately complex issues independently and escalate more complex issues to senior staff
Four (4)+ years of experience in civil engineering or a related field, including at least one (1) year of experience with aviation projects
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
Demonstrated experience with projects governed by FAA and DOT standards, including familiarity with applicable regulations and design requirements
Ability to travel occasionally for team meetings, client consultations, and on-site inspections (overnight travel may be required)
Previous experience in airport planning, design, and construction
Work effectively in an empowered team environment with individual accountability
Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification, or the ability to obtain certification within six months of hire.
