Overview

Design and support of temporary works, preparing calculations, drawings and specifications.

Tasks

-Preparing engineered solutions using all mainstream structural materials (i.e. steelwork, reinforced concrete, timber, etc.) to the Eurocodes and relevant industry guidance. -Preparation of calculations, reports, drawings, and specifications for a diverse range of temporary works schemes. -Ensure company QA procedures are followed. -Video Interview At this stage, you will be invited to record responses to two questions set by our hiring team. You will have sufficient time to prepare and ensure you present yourself confidently. -Work closely with the Design Engineers to provide engineered solutions, ensuring safety in design and good practice.

What You Bring

-Knowledge in geotechnical design. -Studying a degree course with a clear route to professional accreditation -Understand the CDM Regulations and designers' responsibilities. -Online Assessment You will complete a series of assessments designed to understand how you approach workplace situations, your preferred ways of working, as well as exercises to evaluate your critical thinking and numerical reasoning skills. -Your degree classification should be 2:2 or higher -Knowledge in the use of design and analysis programs (TEDDS, Scia Engineer, STRAP, AutoCAD and Revit) is beneficial to the role. -Become a graduate member of the ICE or IStructE and work towards Chartership. -Knowledge with a range of proprietary falsework, formwork and shoring equipment. -Strong numeracy and literacy skills -Knowledge of BS5975:2019. -Highly computer literate (MS Office including MS Word, Excel, Outlook & PowerPoint, PDF Editors). -Knowledge of working with Eurocodes and British Standards and other industry guidance. -Studying or have obtained a Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering degree
