-Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability. -Assist with sample preparation and handling for various material types. -Follow all safety protocols and quality control standards in the lab environment. -Prepare and maintain accurate test reports and documentation. -Conduct laboratory tests on concrete, soils, asphalt, and aggregates following GDOT procedures.

NOVA Engineering & Environmental is seeking a Materials Lab Technician to support GDOT’s Forest Park laboratory. This role involves performing laboratory tests on construction materials to ensure compliance with GDOT standards. Candidates with experience in concrete or soils / geotechnical testing are highly preferred. -Strong attention to detail and ability to follow standardized procedures. -Basic computer skills for data entry and reporting. -American Concrete Institute (ACI) lab certifications (Strength, aggregate testing, etc) -High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or coursework in materials testing preferred. -Familiarity with GDOT testing procedures and specifications. -GDOT Laboratory Certifications (Aggregate, batching, etc) -Ability to work in a fast-paced laboratory environment. -Prior experience in a concrete or soils laboratory setting.
