Overview

Lead cost control, budgeting, forecasting and reporting for Scarborough Subway Extension project.

Tasks

-Develop, or assist in the development of, quantity bases for the assumption. -Investigate requirements for estimating and/or cost control data for a specific discipline or other specialty applications. -Assist in developing requirements for budgeting standards. -Generate all required project status reports for internal management and for the customer, including the overall project Dashboard, project performance report (Earned Value, SPI, CPI, etc.). -Perform, or coordinate the performance of, pricing structure development and application to takeoffs, derived quantities, quantity assumption, and cost allowances within a discipline or other specialty. -Ensure you and your family receive the services needed to support your mental, emotional, and physical well-being. -Plan, coordinate, and direct the preparation of specific budgets. -Responsible for setting-up of project accounting systems (cost codes, job cost processing procedures, project rules of credit). -Identify or define data sources and techniques for data acquisition and collects required data for a specific discipline or other specialty applications. -Perform data analysis, identify problems, and make recommendations. -Assist with contract management and payments. -Develop and implement requirements for forecasting, cost recording, reporting, and analyzing standards, and reports. -Ensure all the contract conditions (invoicing, reporting, change management, etc.) are applied and fulfilled for project set-up, project tracking and reporting, and project closeout. -Create and implement measurement systems for given processes, analyzes performance metric results, and identifies improvements. -Monitor project performance and ensure that the project control system is properly implemented. -Perform performance monitoring and control functions. -Prepare Project Controls plans, and detailed manpower utilization plans for discipline or specialty activities. -Assist in development specific project codes of accounts and recommends appropriate modifications and revisions.

What You Bring

-Organizational skills to handle multiple tasks within a high-pressure worksite environment. -Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral). -College and/or University degree in Engineering or related field, or equivalent work experience. -Experience with Hard Dollar/InEight and SAP ERP systems is an asset. -P6 experience is an asset. -Intermediate to expert proficiency with Microsoft Excel. -Accreditation from AACEI or CIQS is an asset. -Applied knowledge of Project Management and Cost Controls principles is an asset. -Ability to produce, read and manipulate schedules and scheduling curves/reports an asset. -Ability to work effectively with all levels of management and employees. -Knowledge of financial reporting systems and controller account codes and an understanding of Controller instructions, which impact Project Controls (including Project Financial Status Reports and Earned Revenue Determination Data). -7-10 years minimum of Cost Control experience in construction. -Applied knowledge of cost engineering/cost control is an asset. -Willingness for continuous learning and advancement of technical knowledge.
