Overview

Provide housekeeping, cleaning, and resident support duties ensuring safety and hygiene.

Tasks

-Speaks to/interacts with residents showing empathy, kindness, compassion, and respect.* -Cleans administrative offices as scheduled.* -Attends and/or participates in trainings, in-service and mandatory meetings.* -Provides "hands-on" assistance when requested or needed by nursing staff while working in the community. -Refrains from discussing resident issues with families and visitors and refers all inquiries to immediate nursing supervisor.* -Maintains a safe and secure working environment free of objects/situations that could cause harm and/or falls to residents, families visitors and associates.* -Cleans and sanitizes bathrooms.* -Follows established schedule for "deep cleaning" of resident rooms.* -Observes and reports safety hazards immediately to supervisor.* -Provides assistance to associates when requested or required.* -Follows established cleaning schedule.* -Complies with attendance and call off policy.* -Cleans carpets and mops all floors upon request.* -Completes daily dusting, vacuuming, sweeping and mopping of all common areas.* -Responds promptly and courteously to resident's, families, and visitors requests for assistance.* -Maintains a clean, safe, and orderly environment for all residents.* -Serves and assist residents in the dining room at breakfast, lunch and dinner daily. -Ensures and supports a dignified and caring atmosphere for residents, families, visitors, and associates.* -Participates in leisure activities provided to residents as described in the activity calendar.

Is required to report or remain at community until released by supervisor.* -Knows, understands and follows established policy and procedures in emergency situations.* -Wears clean and appropriate dress per established dress code policy.* -Practices good body mechanics and safe working habits.* -Knows, understands, and complies with HIPAA regulations.* -Always demonstrates a positive and respectful attitude about work issues, policies and procedures.*
