Tasks

-Carry out load run downs for structural components -Lead With Purpose - empower, develop and support others to reach their full potential -Construction review and documentation. -Ensure quality compliance for your portions of projects by maintaining design/checking notes. -Analyze and design structural components of multiple materials (concrete, steel, masonry and wood). -Perform design checks for other engineers' work (portions of projects). -Supportive Teamwork - promote an inclusive and respectful work environment and culture

What You Bring

-Previous experience in a structural engineering firm is considered an asset. -Strong attention to detail and produce high quality output. -Creative Mindset - provide new and diverse ideas -Prior work experience with heritage structures, temporary works, steel detailing and/or construction engineering projects considered a strong asset -Degree in civil engineering (structural major). -2-4 years of relevant experience, including previous internship experience in the construction field is considered an asset. -Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to build strong working relationships with all team members and stakeholders. -Ability to conceptualize design with an understanding of constructability. -Working knowledge of structural design in steel, concrete and wood. -Exceptional organizational and time-management skills.
