The Role

Overview

Monitor security systems, manage alarms and incidents for Strata during weekend shifts

Tasks

-Promptly notify and submit reports to the security team regarding incident reports related to crimes, injuries, activated alarms, etc. -Use best practices to communicate and disseminate information to security management and key partners using established protocol and communication channels -Evaluate external incidents that may impact Strata employees or offices and escalate accordingly to security management -Effectively manage and resolve sensitive situations while maintaining confidentiality and information security practices; such sensitive information may include by is not limited to personal employee issues, investigations, public relations incidents, or emergency personnel contact information -Recommend improvements and guidance to security management -Perform routine system checks to ensure all-access control, CCTV, and other security systems are working properly -Maintain daily activity log including records of communications and events, dispatching, tracking, and notification of persons visiting remote sites -Manage and virtually respond appropriately to routine and emergency calls by performing notifications and dispatches of activated alarms and designated incidents, such as life-safety incidents (medical, safety, natural disasters, etc.) and events requiring the services of ERT, police, firefighters, and EMS personnel

What You Bring

-Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite -Must possess a solid employment history that demonstrates dependability -Comfortable with technical work environment and ongoing learning of new tools and innovations -Flexibility to work all shifts and willingness to assist the team with overtime, when needed -Associate’s degree or 2+ years of equivalent work experience in the military, law enforcement, government, or corporate security -Excellent customer service skills and organizational and time-management ability -Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to read, write, and speak clearly in English -Ability to work independently while also being a team player -As a condition of employment, employee must successfully complete a background investigation and a post-offer, pre-employment drug test -Prior experience in a security operations center or similar is highly preferred -Experience with security systems including alarm monitoring, electronic access control, and CCTV -Availability and willingness to work weekend shifts -Ability to multitask, stay calm, and give direction in a fast-paced and, at times, stressful work environment and effectively prioritize tasks -Supervisory experience, ideally in a security role -Ability to analyze problems, identify causes, and implement results-oriented solutions -High school diploma or equivalent required
