The Role

Overview

Oversee prefabrication shop operations, ensuring quality, safety, schedule & cost control

Tasks

-Drive process optimization initiatives, applying Lean Manufacturing principles to maximize productivity and minimize waste. -Develop and monitor detailed production schedules, coordinating with project managers, field operations, and supply chain teams for timely delivery. -Implement and enforce rigorous quality control measures and safety protocols (including OSHA standards). -Contribute to estimating processes, including quantity take-offs and pricing analysis, ensuring project budgets are accurate and aligned with market conditions. -Lead and manage daily operations of the prefabrication shop, ensuring all work meets company and industry standards. -Oversee material procurement, manage inventory, and ensure tools and machinery are available and maintained. -Collaborate with architects and engineers to review designs for constructability, resolve conflicts, and incorporate value engineering alternatives. -Travel to project sites as required, which may include temporary relocation for the duration of the project.

What You Bring

-Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, plans, and specifications. -Familiarity with construction/estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, Procore, On-Screen Takeoff), CAD software, and ERP systems. -Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent work experience). -Minimum 5 years of experience in fabrication, manufacturing, or construction management, with proven supervisory experience. -Must possess strong attention to detail and ensure maximum quality of work throughout the lifecycle of the project. -Superior communication skills, both written and verbal. -Strong knowledge of construction methods, building codes, and materials. -Outstanding interpersonal and team leadership skills. -Understanding of lean production principles and quality control processes.
