The Role

Overview

Assist journeymen with commercial/industrial electrical installations and conduit work.

Tasks

-Maintains a clean and safe work environment while adhering to all safety protocols and regulations. -Interprets blueprints, schematics, and layout drawings to ensure accurate installations. -Executes underground installations, adhering to provided specifications. -Assists in panel interior installation and pulling feeders within one-line systems. -Performs rough-in electrical installations with minimal supervision, ensuring proper use of tools and equipment. -Supports journeyman electricians as needed, gaining hands-on experience in complex tasks. -Identifies and organizes all materials used in the electrical trade. -Contributes to branch power system installations, including disconnects, homerun installations, terminations, branch circuit pulling, and fuse applications.

What You Bring

-Strong problem-solving skills and ability to take initiative. -Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and layout drawings. -Experience assisting in panel interior installation and system terminations. -Ability to lift and transport heavy materials, work in confined spaces, and perform physically demanding tasks. -Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. -Demonstrates advanced skills in hand bending EMT, with some proficiency in using mechanical and table benders for larger conduit. -Knowledge of electrical components, materials, and intermediate electrical codes. -Familiarity with larger conduit bending techniques and mechanical/hydraulic benders. -Knowledge of conduit bending techniques, underground electrical systems, and troubleshooting methods. -Skill in using electrical hand tools, power tools, and mechanical conduit bending equipment. -Adheres to company tool policies, demonstrating responsibility for tool investment and upkeep. -Two (2) years of prior experience in commercial electrical installation. -High school diploma or GED. -Ability to communicate effectively with team members and follow complex instructions. -Ability to execute rough-in installations and panel wiring with minimal supervision. -Enrollment in or willingness to join a certified electrical apprenticeship program.
