The Role

Overview

Coordinate construction data, analysis, and stakeholder communication for the Ontario Line South project.

Tasks

-Review contract documents, construction drawings, generate procurement list, RFIs, Change Orders, Permitting, traffic and lands information, etc. as necessary. -Track productivity, costs, and progress on Ontario Line South. -Maintain files and correspondence. -Prepare with the subcontractors and the methods department the optimal construction sequence and methodology. -Liaise with clients, contractors, and internal departments. -Liaise with and inform stakeholders, vendors, owners on project schedule. -Coordinate the civil works with the other trades (waterproofing, MEP, architectural trades). -Provide data and input for month-end reconciliation. -Reduce crowding on the existing Line 1 (Yonge-University) subway. -Provide Management with data and project analysis. -Improve the quality of life for commuters by reducing daily travel time. -Review, create and present job cost reports to management. -Assist in the coordination, preparation and submission of as-built drawings and design drawings.

What You Bring

-Capable of reading and understanding construction drawings and documents. -Ability to work with others as a team. -8-10 years of experience in the construction industry with experience in building construction -Self-motivated with good organizational skills. -Graduate from a relevant program, such as Civil Engineering / Construction Management. -Able to perform in a fast-paced environment. -Based at Exhibition Station. -(Optional) RRSP matching -Ability to work accurately under pressure. -Strong communication skills – oral and written. -Adaptable to flexible work schedule when required to meet deadlines. -Sound computer skills – MS Excel / Lotus, MS Word, MS Project.

-A powerhouse joint venture led by Ferrovial and VINCI, backed by global design partners including AECOM, COWI, GHD and SENER. -Part of the Ontario Line, it focuses on tunneling, station construction, utilities, mechanical/electrical systems, and guideway structures and preparation. -Mobilized crews in early 2023 and is building one above‑ground and six underground stations between Exhibition and Corktown. -The contract spans design, construction and financing, with work running through to around 2030. -Aims to reduce congestion, increase transit access, and spur urban growth.
