Tasks

Monitor & control of assets via SCADA systems, reacting to plant alerts and contingency events in the NEM. Reporting and Data Analysis, audit daily checklists and handovers Drafting and maintaining up to date departmental operations procedures and guides in line with Quality Management Policy, in cooperation with the Market Operations Manager. Maintain a strong understanding of NER/NEM compliance requirements. Contributing to NER/NEM compliance plans for Squadron Energy's assets. Monitoring market dispatch solutions and activities of Squadron Energy's assets as well as other NEM participants via provided IT systems to optimise dispatch outcomes. Reporting to the Market Operations Manager, the Market Operations Controller is responsible for the safe and efficient monitoring and control of all Squadron Energy assets under operations, ensuring regulations and compliance are being met. Interfacing with Network Service Providers (NSP), Australian Energy Market Operator (AEMO), the wider Squadron Energy operational team and other applicable entities regarding asset outages, generation constraints and/or specific production and network conditions. Contribute and optimize Squadron Energy's trading, firming and Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) strategies given prevailing and expected market outcomes, in conjunction with the Energy & Strategy Analyst. Ensuring safe operation & National Energy Rules/National Electricity Market (NER/NEM) compliance of Squadron Energy's assets at all times. Maintain strong attention to detail in performing quality control on the output of key Operations Centre (OC) reports and requests, proposing and implementing processes to improve the OC's production quality as required Bidding in the NEM according to internal trading strategies. Provide real-time operational and revenue performance statuses of Squadron Energy assets as required. What You Bring

Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Data Science, IT or Finance Experience in a trading desk, control centre or shift work environment (desirable) With proven experience and expertise across the project lifecycle, we work with local communities and our customers to lead the transition to Australia's clean energy future. Working knowledge of the National Electricity Market (NEM) dispatch process (desirable) Working knowledge of utility wind and solar power generation and protection components, including SCADA and HMI systems (desirable) detail, motivated to deliver a first-class professional Monitoring and Control service.
