The Role
Overview
Install, program, and service building automation systems for commercial/industrial clients.

Tasks
-Complete all required company documentation and reporting in a timely manner. -Support third-party equipment integrations. -Conduct "point-to-point" checkouts and terminate low-voltage connections. -Perform routine and complex service calls to diagnose and repair issues with building management systems. -Perform installation, programming, integration, and repair of building management systems (BMS), including service, planned maintenance, and retrofits. -Contribute to retrofit projects, involving the replacement of old control systems with new, non-proprietary solutions. -Lead or assist in the installation and commissioning of new building automation systems on project sites, working closely with project managers and other technicians to ensure timely and successful completion. -Inform sales and management of qualified leads for new construction, service, maintenance, and retrofit opportunities. -Establish and maintain positive working relationships with all customers and company employees, ensuring high customer satisfaction. -Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to controls, networks, field devices, and integrated systems. -Maintain and repair low-voltage wiring, equipment, and devices. -Execute planned maintenance activities on a scheduled basis to ensure optimal system performance and customer satisfaction. -Efficiently manage time and productivity by planning, scheduling, and communicating all work assignments. -Load programs in field controllers and run BACnet MS/TP and BACnet IP communication networks.

What You Bring
-Strong understanding of commercial/industrial HVAC fundamentals, mechanical equipment (CHW, HW, AHU, VAV, CV-PKG), and controls systems. -Ability to read and understand control and mechanical drawings. -Proven problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically in high-pressure situations. -Excellent rapport-building skills to foster a positive experience for customers and colleagues. -High sense of urgency, keen attention to detail, and a collaborative, team-oriented nature. -Working knowledge of BACnet systems and experience with Distech Controls, Tridium Niagara, and Schneider Electric controls. -Tridium AX or N4 Certification highly preferred but not required. -A minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in the building automation or HVAC controls industry, with a demonstrated ability to learn and adapt to new technology. -Proficiency in interpreting HVAC mechanical plans and specifications as they relate to Direct Digital Controls. -Proficiency in electrical fundamentals and using a digital multi-meter. -Valid Driver’s License required. -High School Diploma or GED required.
