Overview
Conduct field and office work on environmental remediation projects as a Staff Engineer/Geologist.

Tasks
-Perform field investigations and data collection as requested including observing drilling, injection work, system installations, mass excavation, and other types of similar work. -Remedial investigations and feasibility studies; -Field investigations including drilling, injection work, and pilot testing remediation system design and construction; and -Assists with preparation of other engineering related documents including cost estimates and proposals. -Cleanup implementation including mass excavation, soil vapor or multi-phase extraction, injection, and ongoing operations and maintenance of exiting systems.

What You Bring
-Experience reviewing and interpreting analytical and engineering design data. -Must be able to wear respiratory protection and pass baseline physical for job position. -Ability to lift 50 pounds and perform field work and a wide range of physical activities, including sustained walking, standing, and reaching, in an outdoor environment. -Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate or Geologist in Training (GIT) within California state or the ability to obtain within one year. -Basic competency with Microsoft Office 365 Suite. -Bachelor’s or master’s degree in geology, environmental engineering, environmental science, or a related field. -Knowledge of appropriate state regulations, including appropriate health and safety regulations, required to perform typical field and office tasks. -Ability to work independently or as part of a team. -Ability to perform basic engineering calculations, analyses, and costs under the direction of senior engineering staff. -Ability to travel at least 20-percent of the time or as required. -Ability to work schedules conducive to project-specific requirements that may extend beyond the typical work hours. -40-Hour OSHA Health & Safety Training (HAZWOPER) (29 CFR 1910.120). -Ability to assist with preparation of summary memorandums, Remedial Investigation and Feasibility Study documents, Cleanup Action Plans, and other design documents with oversight from senior staff. -Valid driver’s license and safe driving record. -Basic First Aid and Adult CPR training. -1-2+ years of field experience preferred.
