Warehouse Person- 7x7 Dayshift

Overview

Handle shipping, receiving, inventory control, and warehouse maintenance for Caterpillar parts.

Tasks

-Maintain warehouse and yard storage areas to align with Finning standards and to ensure a safe work environment. -Work as part of a team to meet branch commitments to company and customer satisfaction. -Participate in annual cycle count to ensure inventory accuracy. -Pick, pack, and label customer orders. -Arrange for trucking/courier company pickups. -Provide assistance as needed to co-workers and customers (internal and external). -Address internal and external customer concerns and issues related to shipment in a timely efficient manner. -Adhere to shipping and receiving policies/procedures and regulatory compliance procedures. -Monitor pending inbound and outbound orders to ensure most timely completion of all customer orders. -Accurately sort and assign bin location for incoming stock. -Adhere to Finning safety, housekeeping, shipping and receiving policies, procedures and standards. -Comply with applicable shipping laws, regulations and standards. -Load and unload parts trucks by hand or using material handling equipment. -Produce packing slips and maintain accurate records of all shipments. -Perform daily inspections of tooling and small equipment as well as replenish warehouse supplies as needed. -Complete 3-way match to purchase order and vendor invoice to verify shipment order accuracy.

What You Bring

-Previous warehousing and/or heavy equipment experience would be considered an asset -Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize competing demands in a face paced team environment. -Self-motivated team player with a keen attention to detail and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. -General warehousing and industry knowledge. -Courage: being comfortable with the conflict that is inherent to being a champion of an idea or course of action. Meeting tough situations head-on to constructively resolve them. Saying what needs to be said at the right time, to the right person, in the right manner to effect change. -Basic knowledge of Lawson parts inventory & transaction systems. -Customer focus: being successful means continuously paying attention to customer needs and adapting as these evolve. This heightens the importance of building strong customer relationships and delivering customer centric solutions. -Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills with the ability to form strong relationships with customers and co-workers. -Capable of lifting up to 40lbs on a frequent basis using approved and safe techniques and unaided by equipment. -Knowledge of heavy equipment and/or Caterpillar parts is considered an asset. -Basic proficiency in MS Office applications. -Effective verbal and written communication skills. -Hold or be willing to achieve crane, forklift and related safety training certifications such as WHIMS and TDG
