ICT System Engineer

Overview

Lead ICT system engineering for a NSW tunnel project, covering design to testing.

Tasks

-Troubleshooting, analysing, and identifying hardware and network system faults, evaluate alternative solutions, determine and implement the solution process. -Recommending and assisting with the selection of relevant technologies and products for projects. Liaising with vendors if required. -Ensure the timely and effective performance of testing. -Ensure the identification, management and fulfilment of the System and Functional Requirements for the entire life cycle of the project (Design, Implementation and Testing). -Systems design, design review and comment closeout -Ensure the identification and management of the system interfaces among the subsystems and external interfaces according to the project scope of work. -Participate System Engineering activities for the project (system sizing calculation, RAM & FMECA, Cyber Security Assessment etc). -Ensuring equipment configurations comply with technical specifications. -Developing Substantial Detailed Design and Final Detailed Design documentations. -Acting as a SME (Subject Matter Expert) in areas of expertise. -Deploying, testing, configuring and upgrading ICT system within the project scope of work.

What You Bring

-System Engineering activities e.g. Safety in Design, RAM & FMECA etc. -Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, customers, vendors, and stakeholders. -Electrical, Electronic, or Computer Engineering or Information Technology Qualifications/ University Degree or Equivalent Technical Background. -Experience with multi-server infrastructure including virtualisation and application clusters, Windows Server Operating Systems, Linux, VMware, SQL, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, Exchange, Office 365 and virtualisation technologies. -Good knowledge of Networking, Routing, Switching and Firewalls, and VPN technologies. -Proven experience delivering multiple projects. -Relevant industry certifications, such as MCSE, MCSA. -3+ year experience in Intelligent Transport System (ITS) industry in tunnel project will be highly desired. -Excellent problem-solving skills, strong attention to detail, and keen analytical abilities. -Significant experience in designing, implementing and troubleshooting leading edge technology solutions. -Excellent documentation skills.
