The Role

Overview

Handle shipping/receiving, load/unload, inventory tracking, and support shop operations.

Tasks

-Report shortages, damages, or discrepancies to management promptly -Prepare outgoing shipments, including packaging, labeling, and documentation -Verify incoming shipments for accuracy and quality, matching materials against packing slips and purchase orders -Maintain accurate inventory records and update tracking systems regularly -Properly label, tag, and store materials in designated areas to support shop organization and production needs -Transport materials to and from trucks, pallets, shelves, racks, and floor areas, either by hand or with material handling equipment -Maintain a clean, safe, and organized shipping and receiving area -Follow all company health and safety policies and procedures -Support production teams by ensuring timely delivery of materials to fabrication areas -Use computers and software tools to log shipments, track materials, and generate reports -Perform other related duties as required to support warehouse and shop operations -Safely load and unload trucks, using forklifts, handcarts, or other material handling equipment -Schedule and coordinate pickups and deliveries with carriers and freight companies

What You Bring

-Forklift certification and experience are required -Must be able to work in a fast paced environment -Proficiency with computers and software, including:Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Gmail, Drive) Microsoft Excel -Must be legally eligible to work in Canada -Strong communication skills, both written and verbal -Strong organizational and time management skills -Previous experience in shipping and receiving or warehouse operations, preferably in a fabrication or industrial setting -Excellent attention to detail and accuracy when handling inventory and documentation -Valid driver’s license with a clean drivers abstract and reliable transportation -Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work safely in a physical, hands-on role -First Aid certification is an asset -Positive attitude and ability to work both independently and as part of a team
