Tasks

We’re looking for a strategic buyer to help shape our European supply chain for battery cell components. You’ll work closely with suppliers and internal teams to source key materials—like cathodes, anodes, separators, and electrolytes—that power our next-generation gigafactories. -Contribute to cost optimization and support EU localization efforts -Run tenders, evaluate suppliers, and support contract execution -Build and maintain strong connections with Global Purchasing to identify strategies and to develop suppliers both globally and locally in EU/UK -Lead sourcing activities for critical cell components across EU programs -Monitor supplier performance and help resolve issues, including claims and change orders -Negotiate commercial terms and long-term supply agreements -Coordinate with engineering and project teams to align specifications and delivery timelines

What You Bring

Willingness to travel regularly within the EU, and occasionally to Asia based on business needs. -A degree in Engineering, Business, Economics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field -Experience managing supplier relationships and negotiating material contracts -Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Power BI, and SAP -5+ years in strategic procurement, ideally in battery, chemical, or advanced materials sectors. Familiarity with battery cell components and their role in production -Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills -Fluent in English; Asian languages (esp. Chinese) are a plus
