Overview

Perform basic sub-assembly and assembly tasks following instructions and blueprints.

Tasks

-Two-person tasks using assistive devices for lifting, pulling and pushing including engine stands hand trucks, pallet jacks, and hoists -Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations -Push/Pull more than 40 pounds on an occasional basis with assistance -Contribute to team effort by training others in performance of basic assembly tasks as needed -Assemble components by examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts and subassemblies -Document actions by completing production and quality forms -Conserve resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results -Inspect all work and ensure it meets requirements prior to passing it on to the next operation -Prepare work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists; gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials -Assist in the building of prototypes and/or other basic assembly projects outside of normal production as needed -Position parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements

-Squatting/kneeling – frequent -Is able to read and interpret Drawings and Bills of Material -Is able to read instructions and understand verbal instructions in English -Has basic computer skills -Lift up to 40 pounds on a frequent basis floor to waist -Ideally has 0-1 year experience working in a manufacturing environment -Bending/stooping – frequent -Standing – continuous -Work is classified as Medium - Heavy Physical Demand Level (PDL) by the US Dept of Labor's Dictionary of Occupational Titles -Lift up to 75 pounds on an occasional basis floor to waist with assistance -Lifting – frequent -Frequencies - Occasional (1-33%); Frequent (34-66%); Continuous (67-100%) -Carry up to 40 pounds on an occasional basis up to 25 feet -Has a High School diploma, GED or combination of work experience and skill development -Griping, manipulation, fingering –continuous -Variable hand/power tool use – frequent -Walking – continuous -Push/Pull up to 40 pounds on a frequent basis -Is able to safely use small hand and power tools
