Tasks

-Provide technical support and expertise in mechanical engineering to ensure optimal performance and reliability of equipment. -Evaluate and select vendors and contractors for project execution. -Prepare technical specifications, request for proposals (RFPs), and bid evaluations. -Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments to determine project viability. -Oversee contractor work to ensure compliance with project requirements and safety standards. -Design mechanical systems and components for new installations, upgrades, and modifications to existing equipment. -Select appropriate materials, equipment, and technologies for project implementation. -Develop detailed project plans, including scope, objectives, timelines, and resource requirements. -Coordinate and manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget. -Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including process engineers, electrical engineers, and construction personnel, to achieve project goals. -Perform calculations, simulations, and analyses to validate design concepts and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations. -Ensure all projects adhere to quality control standards and safety regulations.

What You Bring

-Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to mechanical engineering and project management. -Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. -Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, equipment, and materials used in a Process Manufacturing Facility. -Proven project management skills. -Minimum five years of experience in mechanical engineering, preferably in the mining or metallurgical industry. -Proven experience in managing capital projects from conception to completion. -Proficiency in process design. -Experience in heavy industry and process documentation. -Proficiency in engineering software and tools such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, ANSYS. -Strong mechanical and project engineering capabilities.
